WHY EASTWOOD?
As a native Houstonian, who prides herself in being a city girl, I knew that house hunting would be challenging for two reasons: location and budget.

We can't say that Eastwood was our first choice in neighborhood (it was actually our second), but I can tell you that we wanted to stay inside the 610 loop and avoid the suburbs at all costs. Nothing screams boring more than a cul-de-sac lined with identical structures. We also really wanted to buy a fixer-upper to allow us the opportunity to design freely and improve the value of our home.

Eastwood is a historical district located in the East End area of Houston. The neighborhood has a collection of Craftsman, Arts and Crafts, Foursquare and Mission architecture. It is currently undergoing a revitalization with high demand and rising sale prices. The press often calls our neighborhood "the new Heights." We're lucky that we got in when we did.
Looking back now, we can't see ourselves living in any other neighborhood besides Eastwood.
We fit right in.
